Zsófia has been strengthening our Team as an intern since March 2021, and ever since she completed her studies at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in June 2023, where she obtained a law degree with honors (cum laude), she has been working as a trainee lawyer.

During her university years, she completed the German-Hungarian and Hungarian-German legal translation training organized by the Andrássy University Budapest. Within the university’s framework she continuously attended German language courses and then participated in the training of the “German Law School” organized jointly by Georg-August University Göttingen and ELTE. As a member of a special college, she was an active participant in the work of the English and Legal Workshops. During her university years, she acted as a mentor in the ELTE Mentoring Program and also worked in the academic scientific student circle.

Norbert was born in Hungary and studied law in Debrecen (Hungary) and Passau (Germany), where he completed his degree with honors.

In 2005, he joined NZP in Nuremberg after working several years at the Federal Ministry of Defense (Bundesministerium für Verteidigung). Initially, he worked as a lawyer for 10 years, and now he serves as Of Counsel Rechtsassessor in all areas of German-Hungarian commercial law.

Due to his additional studies and years of litigation experience in all instances of Hungarian civil courts, his special areas of expertise include Hungarian commercial law, particularly on behalf of German insolvency administrators, Hungarian insolvency and company law, contract and property law. He is especially involved in the development of case law concerning the compensation for void property purchase agreements under Hungarian property law in the interest of affected real estate agents.

Recently, his fight for the landmark judgments on the nullity of so-called foreign currency loans provided by Hungarian financial institutions has received a lot of attention in the Hungarian press and media.

His significant practical knowledge primarily lies in Hungarian civil law and procedural law. Additionally, he has expertise in shareholder disputes, director and officer liability, compensation claims of commercial agents, distributors, independent branch managers and franchisees under EU, Swiss and Hungarian law, as well as in legal disputes concerning goods deliveries.

Furthermore, his extensive practical knowledge encompasses International Private Law, European Civil Procedural Law, and international arbitration proceedings.

He has particular expertise in various European arbitration rules and contract drafting, especially the design and finalization of export/import goods delivery contracts, procurement contracts, general terms and conditions, distribution contracts, license agreements, articles of association, shareholder agreements, and severance agreements under German, Hungarian, and international private law standards, in German, Hungarian, and English language

Mate studied at the University of Vienna (Magister iuris) and carried out teaching duties as a student assistant at the Institute of Roman Law and Ancient Legal History. He received a scholarship for his academic achievements and completed his diploma studies in 2020 under minimum study period. After graduating from the University of Vienna he nostrified his diploma in Hungary at the University of Szeged (JD).

During his general legal studies, he specialized in European law and private commercial law.  He attended the „Sommerhochschule”( summer school) of the University of Vienna in Strobl and obtained the Diploma of European Studies with highest distinction. Máté completed traineeships in renowned commercial law firms in Hungary and Austria.

After his studies he worked as a judicial law clerk at the Higher Regional Court of Vienna and worked as a university assistant at the Institute for Corporate and International Commercial Law at the University of Graz. For his LLM studies at Andrassy University the OEAD granted him a postgraduate excellence scholarship.

He also completed the Functional Legal Knowledge assessment of the Solicitors Qualifying Examination in London.
