We consider the success of our negotiations to lie in the fact that the damage caused by the tragedy was resolved within a short period of time and without the need to navigate the complexities of the Italian judicial system.<br \/>\nWhere Italian law applies to road traffic accidents occurring in Italy, the lump-sum compensation amounts determined by the Court of Milan apply under the Italian rules on non-contractual liability, irrespective of the actual amount of the damage suffered.
