No meaningless software updates, but a commitment from the automaker industry to a conversion to Euronorm 6, at their expense. Those are the demands of Hartmut B\u00e4umer, a former politician of “die Gr\u00fcnen”, to Michael M\u00fcller, governing mayor of the city of Berlin. B\u00e4umer, himself is a victim, had his diesel undergo the software update, which was mandatory according to the district office. The result: due to the update, the emission of pollutants only decreased slightly. The NOX figure recorded a minus of 37mg, but with 1134 mg it was still well above the permissible figure of 180mg. The environmentally harmful CO2 figure even increased by 7%. An answer from the mayor is pending at this time.<\/p>\n
