Este reglamento se aplica, en general, a los sistemas de distribuci\u00f3n y, de forma excepcional, a los sistemas de franquicia. Ya se prev\u00e9 que el reglamento de protecci\u00f3n de datos dar\u00e1 lugar a un mayor nivel de concienciaci\u00f3n en materia de protecci\u00f3n de datos. El Reglamento es directamente aplicable desde el 25 de mayo de 2018. Entre otras cosas, establece mayores competencias sancionadoras y refuerza la posici\u00f3n de la autoridad de protecci\u00f3n de datos, adem\u00e1s de introducir, por ejemplo, obligaciones de informaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s amplias.
