They include the local (j\u00e1r\u00e1sb\u00edr\u00f3s\u00e1g) &amp; district courts (ker\u00fcleti b\u00edr\u00f3s\u00e1g) in BP, regional courts (t\u00f6rv\u00e9nysz\u00e9k), and the Metropolitan Court of Budapest (F\u0151v\u00e1rosi T\u00f6rv\u00e9nysz\u00e9k). These courts handle criminal and civil cases, as well as cases involving administrative law and labor disputes.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Appellate courts<\/em><\/strong>: These courts located in Budapest, Debrecen, Szeged, P\u00e9cs and Gy\u0151r hear appeals from the decisions of the courts of first instance.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Supreme Court<\/em><\/strong>: This is the highest court in the land; it reviews the decisions of the lower courts and determines the final outcome of appeals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additionally, there is a specialized court, called <em>Alkotm\u00e1nyb\u00edr\u00f3s\u00e1g<\/em> (Constitutional Court), which is responsible for interpreting the Constitution and resolving disputes involving the constitutionality of laws.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Why hiring a lawyer is necessary in Hungary\u2019s court proceedings?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>A lawyer is necessary in a court proceeding in general because they are trained professionals who learned the laws and legal procedures of their country. They can provide legal counsel and representation to their clients, helping them navigate the court system and advocating for their interests.<\/p>\n<p>Whether legal representation is mandatory in the first instance in HU\u2019s courts usually depends on the value of the case and the subject of the given lawsuit.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Although with few exceptions, engaging a lawyer before higher courts is not optional, but a right and an obligation at the same time.<\/em><\/h5>\n<p>For example, if you tried to communicate with the court without a licensed attorney where professional legal representation is obligatory, the court would view this communication as invalid.
