Proceedings of the 1st International Law Congress of Turkic States Published

The proceedings of the 1st International Law Congress of Turkic States, held at Yeditepe University on 13–14 May 2025, have been published following the peer-review process. The proceedings were published by Aristo Yayınevi on 25 August 2025.

The volume includes a chapter by Ömer Batuhan Dogan, Associate at NZP NAGY LEGAL, entitled “Türk ve Macar Hukukunda Medeni Hukukun Kanunlaştırma Sürecinin Kavşakları.”

The chapter examines the codification of Turkish and Hungarian civil law from a comparative historical perspective. It explores the development of Turkish legal thought from the Central Asian concept of Töre to the reception of the Swiss Civil Code, while comparing this process with Hungary’s path towards civil-law codification. Particular attention is given to the role of customary law and the influence of Swiss law on the development of both legal systems.

The publication contributes to the broader dialogue on legal cooperation and shared legal traditions among Turkic states and communities. The proceedings are published under ISBN 978-625-6018-59-4.
