Trainee Lawyer Position in Budapest

Place of Work:
Budapest, Bank Center.

Responsibilities

• Assisting lawyers with legal work.
• Assisting in and conducting non-contentious and litigation matters.
• Providing or assisting with representation before Hungarian courts (and, where required, foreign courts).

Please note that this position is expressly not focused on traditional trainee tasks such as visits to the land registry, reviewing files in court registries, handling partners’ personal matters, or performing other administrative errands.

Requirements

• Completed law degree from a Hungarian university, or currently preparing for/facing final examinations.
• High-level proficiency in German and English.
• Solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong computer skills for electronic case management.

Advantageous Qualifications

• Erasmus studies or a comparable period of study or professional practice abroad, particularly in a German-speaking country.
• Knowledge of additional languages, such as Russian, Croatian/Serbian/Bosnian, Spanish, or Bulgarian/Macedonian.
